Discovery Program

• previous dance experience not required
• class enrollment is by age
• dancers usually stay in each age group for two years/seasons before advancing into the next Discovery Program age group and once they age out, they will be invited to move to Level 1 classes
• each class meets once per week for a 45 min class and dancers can enroll in multiple classes per week if interested
• dancers will learn the foundations of dance, become comfortable with the studio classroom setting, and learn to express themselves through a guided dance class

ATTIRE:
*Most importantly, we want our youngest dancers to feel comfortable so please use your discretion and use the below as a guideline.
• Leotard & tights, dance dress (above the knees), leggings, jazz pants, fitted shorts, tank tops, or fitted t-shirt.
• Please avoid baggy clothing & costumes that may cause a distraction.
• Attire should be easily removed for bathroom breaks if needed.
• Ballet or jazz shoes. Socks or tights alone can be slippery on our floors and we prefer dancers not to be barefoot.
• Hair secured in bun, french braid, or off the face.
