When you work with Jennifer Hamilton, expect the best. She’s a jack-of-all-trades choreographer but a master at just about everything. Admired by her clients and students for her teaching abilities, professionalism and creativity, trusted by talent for how natural she makes them look on stage and screen, and emulated by dancers for her effortless technique, Hamilton can do it all and do it well. A Southern California native, Hamilton has been choreographing and teaching for over 17 years, and dancing since she was age 4. Outside of her continuous work as a choreographer and creative director, Hamilton focuses on teaching classes here in Los Angeles at her newly formed The Floor Dance Academy for children as well as dance studios nationwide. She has also and has been a teacher on many dance conventions over the years and a professional teacher at the EDGE in Hollywood. She has been known to develop strong work relationships with celebrities, such as Leslie Bibb, Dakota Fanning, Elle Fanning, Kate Bosworth and Tobey Maguire...training them on multiple projects over a number of years and training them on-going for dance instruction and body/strength conditioning. Her extensive knowledge in pilates and cardio-based workouts met with her expertise in dance instruction and passion for her craft has allowed her to help and work on many different bodies and ability levels over the years. She has worked on and been a part of multiple television shows and commercials and music videos over the years. Janaya French Ballet/Contemporary
Janaya French was born in Denver, Colorado where she started dancing at age 3 and continued her training at Michelle Latimer Dance Academy. After graduating in 2010, Janaya started her dance career assisting West Coast Dance Explosion for their 2010/2011 season. She moved to Los Angeles in May 2011 and has since been signed with Bloc Talent Agency. In May 2012 she made one of her proudest accomplishments as she was a part of the Top 20 dancers on Season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance. On the show she worked with Emmy nominated/winning choreographers such as Stacy Tookey, Travis Wall, NappyTabs and many more. Since her time on the show she has appeared on various TV shoes and Films such as; 2012 Teen Choice Awards with Paramore, 65th Primetime Emmy Awards alongside Neil Patrick Harris, 2015 Billboard awards with Fall Out Boy, The Goldbergs, Glee, Teen Beach 2, Ted 2, the CMA’s with Thomas Rhett and Fall Out Boy, CMA Country Christmas special, 42nd People’s Choice Awards, Grease Live, TV Land Icon Awards, and 22nd Critic’s choice awards. Janaya also toured the country with Maks and Val from Dancing with the Stars on the Our Way tour, filmed an upcoming episode of Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, danced with James Corden on the 59th Grammy’s, appeared in the new Beauty and the Beast music video with John Legend and Ariana Grande and most recently filmed scenes for the new movie Valley Girl. Scott Hislop Musical Theater Dance
Scott Hislop is a multi-hyphenated talent who lives and works in Los Angeles. He started out a dancer years ago, transitioned into choreographing naturally, but also writes, acts and produces as well. In his 20+ years, he has worked on 35 feature films, countless episodics, dozens of commercials, and many live tv shows, both in front of and behind the camera. Some notable highlights include: LaLa Land, Titanic, The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons, Spiderman III, Glee, Will and Grace, Strange Angel, Fuller House and the upcoming Backseat starring Christian Bale and Amy Adams. He was th eassociate choreographer for Another Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits and the upcoming Valley Girl. He is thrilled to be joining hte faculty of The Floor teaching Musical Theater.
As far as pics, I’ll give you a few choices, though none are movement since I’m , you know, old. The first one is my choice (it’s the most recent) even though I cut my hair. But since this isn’t for a casting I like it the most. The next is older but I have shorter hair.
Emily Crouch Jazz/Contemporary
Emily Crouch grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and began dancing at the age of 3 where she trained and competed in all styles of dance. She moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to begin her professional dance career signing with Clear Talent Group and dancing with Soul Escape Contemporary Dance Company under the direction of Justin Giles. A year later, she joined Entity Dance Company performing in shows and teaching classes internationally, and at Company Intensives. Emily toured with Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy dancing for their “Our Way” show throughout the US and Canada. She just got done working on the Target commercial for the 2018 Grammy’s, and performed in Katy Perry’s Video “Chained to the Rhythm” and performed with her on the 2017 Grammy Awards. She has worked with Debbie Allen as a dancer/actor in her production “Freeze Frame” performed in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. She was cast in the stage production of “Pearl” performing at the Lincoln Center in NYC under the direction of Daniel Ezralow and traveled to Germany to dance for the major European artist Helene Fischer. Other credits include projects and music videos for Meghan Trainor, Mike Posner, Kacie Musgraves, Tyra Banks, Snoop Dogg, and Selena Gomez. She has also made her mark on the commercial world including promotions/commercials for Ultimate Fight Club (UFC), Nike, Reebok, Rayban, MAC Cosmetics, Mistubishi, and Pepsi as well as projects for “Just Dance” Video Games and Disney/Tokyo Disney to name a few.
Ashleigh Hunter Avery Ballet/Jazz
Ashleigh Hunter Avery comes from a family of dance. She began her early training at Dance Theatre of Jacksonville in North Carolina under her mother Desiree LeFebvre and later with the Corpus Christi Ballet under the direction of Cristina Stirling Munro. Ashleigh's versatility has enabled her career to include concert and commercial dance work both on stage and screen. Some of her credits include dancing with Carolyn Dorfman Dance in NYC, performing in Michael Turco's "Magic & Mayhem" in Las Vegas, appearing on Good Morning America (LMFAO), The Late Show with David Letterman (Martha Wash), and Fuller House on Netflix. She's had the privilege of working with choreographers such as JoAnn Hunter, Otis Sallid, Carolyn Dorfman, Peter Chu, and Kyle Hanagami. Dancing professionally has given Ashleigh the opportunity to not only perform in NYC and LA, but across the US and Europe. She is currently represented by MSA Talent Agency and resides in Los Angeles with her husband and fellow performer, Gerald Avery.
Marissa Bumb Ballet/Jazz
Marissa Bumb is from Portland Oregon where she started dancing at a young age. She moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue her training in dance at The EDGE Performing Arts Center’s scholarship program. She has trained with many of the industry's top choreographers and has had the opportunity to perform with different artists and companies since being in LA. Marissa loves to share her passion of dance with her students and looks forward to continuing to grow as a dancer and teacher.
Trevor Loritz Resident Sub
Trevor Loritz was born and raised in Green Bay, WI. He grew up dancing at Barb’s Centre for Dance, at Midwest Movement under the direction of Ted Jackson, and under Bruce Campbell at Motivation 2 Dance. Loritz was an assistant teacher for Co. Dance Convention and Competition for four years where he assisted Nick Florez, Tyce Diorio, Gina Starbuck, Judy Rice, Gregg Russell, Barry YoungBlood, Nancy O’Meara, Lauren Gottlieb, Chebar Williams, and Chris Jones. After attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA for two years, he decided to leave college to pursue his dance career. He later went back to school and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. Some of his credits include the 51st SuperBowl Halftime Performance with Lady Gaga, the 58th Grammy Awards with Lady Gaga, the 65th Primetime Emmy’s with Neil Patrick Harris, performances with Helene Fischer (German artist), the opening number in the 22nd Annual Critics' Choice Awards, Fuller House (Netflix Season 2), Nickelodeon’s 2014 Kid’s Choice Awards, spot date performances with the artist Maty Noyes, XQ Super School Live Opening and Closing Numbers, Curb Your Enthusiasm (Season 9), The Masked Singer (Season 1), Arrested Development (Season 5), This Halloween in Dance on The Ellen Show, the 2014 National Memorial Day Concert on PBS with Megan Hilty, Disney’s hit television show Austin and Ally (Season 3), RuPaul’s Drag Race Reunited (Season 6), and the 2010 MDA Telethon in Las Vegas. Mr. Loritz has performed in a few Las Vegas shows, including Steve Wynn’s Showstoppers, Surf the Musical, and America’s Got Talent Live.
Jessica Lee Keller Ballet
Jessica Lee Keller is a professional dancer, actor and choreographer, originally from Stillwater, Minnesota. Most known for her role as 'Struts', the bubbly biker chic in Disney Channel’s Original ’Teen Beach Movie’ and 'Teen Beach 2'. She was one of the original members of Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in NYC where she performed works by Crystal Pite, Ohad Naharin, Alonzo King, Benoit Swan Pouffer, Jacapo Godani, Cidi Larbi, Jo Stromgran, Jodi Gates, Angelin Preljocaj, to name a few. After 6 years with the company, her artistic versatility took her to the commercial world where she's worked both in front of and behind the camera. Most recently landing a guest star on CBS’s Code Black & Lucifer on FOX, Jessica stars in ‘The Way it Begins’, a short film told through dance, along side Robert Roldan, and was the leading female in Blake McGrath’s new music video ‘Harder Than The First Time’. Jessica is featured in the viral in flight safety video by ‘Virgin America’, and the Alpine headphones campaign. Ava Bernstine "Ava Flav" Hip Hop
Ava J Bernstine, affectionately called Ava Flav, native to Los Angeles, is one of the Industry’s sought after dancers. She is a well-versed dancer whose dance style is influenced by, but not limited to her hip-hop, jazz, ballet and contemporary training which is also prevalent in her diverse choreography.
Ava has toured the world with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears. Some of her other credits include Usher, Chris Brown, Nikki Minaj and the feature film “ LaLa Land.” Around 2010, Ava took her passion for dance and became an activist for dancers joining likeminded individuals of the Dancers Alliance committee. In 2012, she sat on the panel representing DA when they won the decades-long campaign for an industry-changing union music video contract through SAG- AFTRA. She is committed to the continual growth and change of the dance industry and the education of dancers. Ava has also worked along side Debbie Allen since 2001, assisting her in multiple projects and teaching at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy. She is a young, energetic, and passionate dancer who, although teaches, is humbled and considers herself to still be a student of the art. She enjoys teaching and believes that it is important as a dancer to know your history, and because dance is ever evolving, know where it’s going. Her style is fun, hard-hitting and funky and often has influences from her jazz training. Although feminine, she can get down just as hard as the guys. Leo Morimune Contemporary
Leo began training under San Francisco Ballet with full scholarship. Attended/graduated from School of the Arts SF. He started his professional career at age 15 as a back up dancer & performing for contemporary companies. For TV/Film/music videos, danced along artists such as Paula Abdul (American idol), Bjork, Nick Jonas, MØ, Jonsi, Jackie Chan to name a few. As an instructor, toured & guest taught for LADM, Hollywood Vibe, ihollywood and other national dance conventions. Getting certification in Yoga instructing has lead him to pursuit of educating the importance of proper allignment and how to execute stylized movement without harming the body. Currently teaching internationally and for dance centers in LA, he also assists film choreographers/directors for knowledge behind the scenes which is constantly evolving.
Mikaela Jagim Ballet/Jazz/Acro
Mikaela began dancing at age 3, teaching at 13 and choreographing at 14. A born and raised Iowan, Mikaela grew up training extensively in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. She also traveled the country attending and assisting for various dance conventions in order to expand her training and diversity. Mikaela now lives in Los Angeles, CA as a professional dancer performing for and working with names such as Kent Boyd, Andrew Winghart, Rudy Abreu, Kathryn McCormick, and Phillip Chebeeb, and more. She is also a part of Marinda Davis' contemporary company "MarInspired; the storytellers". Mikaela's passion lies in dance, in learning, and in being able to share that with the people around her. She hopes to use dance to inspire and to make a difference in people's lives.
Logan Hassel Acro
Logan Hassel originally from Johnston, Iowa has been professionally dancing in LA since the age of 10. She has been trained in all styles of dance from hip hop to ballet. Being classically trained at a ballet school in Iowa to dancing in music videos by the age of 11! Logan has danced for Justin Bieber, Janet Jackson, Will Smith and many more! She toured the world as "Clara" in the Radio City Rockette Christmas Spectacular. Followed by touring the year after that as an Elite Protege at The Pulse on Tour. After professionally dancing in LA for 4 years, Logan decided to transition into acting. She started her first role on Modern Family & is now currently working as a reoccurring guest star on Fuller House. Logan loves to share her experiences and love for dance and acting with the kids/teens she works with! And can't wait to see them all shine in their own individual ways!!
