ATTIRE

We believe dancers do their best when they feel their best!
Our attire guidelines are in place to help each dancer feel comfortable, confident, and prepared to learn. By dressing for each style, students can move freely, stay safe, and show up ready to shine.

Dancers need toe pads to accompany the pointe shoe:

Pointe Shoe Fitting Guidelines:

  • Toes should be pretty tight when the foot is flat but toes comfortably relaxed and not scrunched or hitting the box (the flat part of the shoe)

  • When you go en pointe you don't want too much fabric bunching at the heel

  • The foot should not slide in the shoes when you go from flat to pointe

  • The shank (wooden part on the bottom of the shoe) needs to stay in line with the heel, if it's twisting to one side or the other, it's not the right size

  • When you go en pointe, you want to be able to get over the box so the box is flat on the floor
