Shelby Griswold

Shelby is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in

Contemporary Dance Performance. During her time in school she performed works by Sidra Bell, Darrell

Grand Moultrie, Brian Brooks and Ebony Williams, among others. Shelby was involved in the documentary, “Make Me Dance,” directed by Tatyana Bronstein, that displays the creation and learning of the piece Winds of Now, and is available to view on Amazon Prime. Her senior year of college she was one of seven dancers chosen to perform for a Beyoncé Tribute with the Original Female Band at Berklee College of Music, choreographed by Ebony Williams. Boston Hynes Convention Center, on stage with the Lexington Symphony Orchestra honoring the great composer, John Williams. Shelby is a founding member of Wilder Project, a dance-on-film company. She wrote and starred in the film, The Field, that gained international recognition and accolades at 26 film festivals. Shelby can be seen featured in many Wilder Project Film’s, such as: The Weight, Passing, Evergreen, No Siento Mas and En Paz. She also represented Wilder Project at Battery Dance Festival and INSITU Site-Specific Dance Festival, performing live in New York City. Shelby is in her second year living in Los Angeles. Since moving to LA, Shelby has worked with many musical artists helping bring their visions of creative movement and choreography to life in their music videos. She has modeled for a variety of brands, including MSLAN Spring Campaign 2022, Hello Water, Dash Athletics and Teami Powder. She is a member of Lume Dance Collective, working closely with the directors, MaryAnn Chavez and Monika Felice Smith in their videos for “Feel Good Inc” and “Miss You So.” In her time with Lume, Shelby has also worked with choreographers such as Max Pham and Sabrina Phillip. You can see Shelby on screen, dancing and working behind the receptionist desk in the Apple TV Series, Physical, choreographed by Jennifer Hamilton.

Shelby loves teaching, choreographing and hanging out with her cat, Bambina. Her objective is to continue with her purpose in life, in her father’s honor, and to always have a hunger for knowledge in dance; all while sharing her art with the world.
